Download Festival 2025 is coming in HOT! We’ve got legendary headliners, unexpected throwbacks, and a sea of rising stars ready to melt faces at Donington Park from June 13-15. So, let’s dive into the updates that have come out in the last few weeks!

Download Festival isn’t just cranking up the volume with an epic line-up this year—they’re also cranking up the quality of your festival experience. They’ve been listening to the feedback and are making some seriously solid upgrades, so buckle up. This year’s Download is going to be bigger, better, and—dare I say it—possibly even a little bit more comfortable?
WHAT’S NEW FOR 2025?
More Destination Bars & Food Choices – No more wandering the entire site like a dehydrated zombie in search of a decent burger. With new bars and food stalls popping up, you’ll spend less time hunting for food and more time getting lost in the chaos. Maybe you’ll finally find that one food vendor you love—or just end up eating questionable deep-fried stuff. Either way, it’s a win.
Guest Area Glow-Up – The guest area is getting a glow-up, so if you're treating yourself to that VIP experience, prepare to feel like royalty. A better, more comfortable space to escape the madness (or hide from your mates who are still in the pit).
Toilet Upgrades – No, your eyes aren’t deceiving you. The toilets are actually getting better! Expect cleaner facilities so you won’t have to risk a nightmare scenario when nature calls. So, let’s hear it for better hygiene and fewer awkward “holding it in” moments!
Group Camping – Grab your mates and pitch up together. Group camping means no more playing Tetris with your tents, trying to squeeze everyone into a tiny space. Now you can party together and not lose your buddies to the mud after the first pint.
More Walkways & Bigger Screens – Less waiting, more walking (and probably still tripping over tents and cables). Download is adding more walkways to cut down on bottlenecks, so you won’t feel like a sardine in a tin can. Plus, bigger screens mean you can watch the chaos from a comfortable distance—no FOMO here.
But wait—let’s take a moment to acknowledge the real festival experience. The adrenaline rush of sprinting across the field to catch your favorite band (only to realize you’ve gone the wrong way). The struggle of trying to balance a tray of loaded fries while navigating the mosh pit. The absolute art of power-napping in the middle of the day so you can survive the headliner. It’s all part of the magic, and honestly? We wouldn’t have it any other way.
But wait, there's more...
ENTER ANOTHER DIMENSION THIS SUMMER WITH THE ULTIMATE FESTIVAL PLAYGROUND!
District X is making a comeback, but this time it’s not just about music.
We're talking:
🎶 Music, DJs & Silent Discos – (Trust me, you can dance – Tequila xo)
🎭 Comedy, Podcasts & Wellness Sessions – Because even headbangers need a moment of self-care. Come for the laughs, stay for the deep, introspective thoughts about why you never stretched before that last mosh pit.
🎤 Karaoke & Bingo Chaos – Where your dignity goes to die, but your inner rockstar is born. Expect tone-deaf screams, unexpected bangers, and at least one person belting “Bohemian Rhapsody” like their life depends on it.
🎡 Family Fun, Food & Drink – Bring the whole gang for a weekend of delicious bites, thrilling rides, and just the right amount of chaos to make you question if that second helping of festival fries was a good idea.
The full District X line-up drops March 26th, and I can already hear the chaos calling.
Prepare yourselves!
he Vengaboys are rolling in to deliver a full-power nostalgia bomb straight to your eardrums. Expect outrageous levels of energy, throwback bangers, and possibly a spontaneous conga line.
And that’s just the warm-up. Across five epic days, you’ll be raving your socks off to Cradle of Filth’s Dani Filth (yes, really), Modestep, Dougie Poynter, Zoe London, and a ton more DJs who’ll be keeping the party alive well into the questionable hours of the morning.
Oh, and did we mention wrestling is BACK? Get ready for body slams, suplexes, and questionable spandex choices. If that wasn’t enough, they’re also serving up a top-tier podcast line-up featuring Justin Hawkins from The Darkness and the legends behind On Wednesdays We Wear Black.
Feeling brave? Darkfield is returning with their eerie, immersive SÉANCE experience, which is basically a polite way of saying, “Prepare to scream in a dark box.” Meanwhile, Flow State Wellness, Blink, and Diverse UK are on hand to help you recover from your questionable life choices with chilled-out mindfulness sessions and sensory calm spaces.
And because they believe in balance, they’ve also got intimate acoustic sets, interactive quizzes, bingo, festival aerobics (yes, really), and sports events—just in case you want to pretend you’re being healthy. For the little (or big) kids, Slay Duggee and Rock Kids will be serving up some family-friendly chaos.
I’m absolutely buzzing to hopefully be part of this incredible event! The energy, the chaos, the unforgettable moments—what’s not to love? From dodging flying bingo balls to witnessing some questionable dance moves at the silent disco (we see you, Kevin), this festival is set to be an absolute blast. I can already picture myself capturing the magic—whether it’s the euphoria of a headline set, the mid-bite regret of a very ambitious food choice, or the sheer determination of someone trying to out-sing their mate at karaoke. Bring it on! 🎉📸
